Kimi Antonelli, one of Mercedes-Benz's drivers, won the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, part of the 2026 Formula 1 season, adding another victory to extend his lead in the championship.
The Mercedes driver, who had started from second on the grid, finished ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Lando Norris (McLaren).
Norris had started from pole position and held the lead through the opening meters, but Antonelli stayed close behind him while Verstappen worked his way up to second place after running off track at the start.
The race also saw the retirement of Lewis Hamilton, who reported brake problems from the early laps and pulled out of the race on lap 9.
